EOS R series — built-in FTP / FTPS transfer.

Before you start

A Canon EOS R body with FTP transfer (R5, R6, R6 Mark II, R3, R1 and similar)
A Wi-Fi or wired connection with internet access
Your Rawback FTP username and a credential password (created on the FTP page)

Canon's EOS R bodies can transfer images to an FTP server straight from the Communication settings menu. Rawback supports Canon's secure FTPS mode, so your login stays encrypted.

No built-in FTP?

Some smaller bodies transfer through Canon's Mobile File Transfer app on your phone instead. The server details below are the same — enter them in the app's FTP server settings.

Open network settings and connect

Open the Communication settings tab, turn Network on, and connect to Wi-Fi or Ethernet with internet access.

Add a new FTP connection and choose FTPS

Start a new connection for Transfer images to FTP server. When asked for the FTP mode, choose FTPS for a secure, encrypted transfer.

Enter the address and port

In Address setting, enter the host and set the port to the FTPS port. If your network is behind a firewall, enable Passive mode.

Enter your login details

Set Username to your Rawback username and Password to the credential password from the FTP page. Leave the target folder as the default root.

Enable auto transfer

Finish the wizard, then turn on automatic transfer after shooting so every new photo uploads to Rawback.

Error 41?

If the camera shows Error 41 (Cannot connect to FTP server), set Passive mode to Enable and double-check the port number.

Create a credential and copy your password — it's only shown once.
