MCP Connector

Your photo library,
inside your assistant.

Connect Rawback to Claude or ChatGPT and ask about your photos in your own words. Your assistant can search the library, build albums, and report your usage — using only the permissions you approve.

Find any frame

Ask in plain language and let the assistant search by camera, lens, place, date, rating, or what is in the photo.

Curate albums

Create albums, move photos in and out, and tag your library through conversation.

Check your usage

See storage, AI credits, cameras and lenses without leaving the chat.

Works with your assistant

A standard Model Context Protocol server, so Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients all speak to it.

Add the connector.

You need a Rawback account. The connector uses the same sign-in as the website — your password is never shared with the assistant.

Claude

  1. 1Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. 2Paste the server URL: https://api.rawback.app/v3/mcp
  3. 3Sign in to Rawback when the browser opens, review the permissions, and choose Allow access.
  4. 4Start a new chat and ask for something from your library — try “what did I shoot last weekend?”

Using Claude Code instead? Add it from your terminal:

Shell
claude mcp add --transport http rawback https://api.rawback.app/v3/mcp

ChatGPT

  1. 1Open Settings, then Connectors, and enable developer mode if you have not already.
  2. 2Add a custom connector using the same server URL: https://api.rawback.app/v3/mcp
  3. 3Complete the Rawback sign-in and approve the permissions.
  4. 4Ask ChatGPT about your photos in a new conversation.

Any other MCP client works the same way — point it at the server URL above and it will discover the sign-in flow on its own.

Permissions and privacy

You decide what it can touch.

When you add the connector, Rawback shows you exactly what the app is asking for before anything is shared. Approving grants access to your own library only — never to anyone else's.

To revoke access, remove the connector in the assistant you added it to. Existing sessions stop working within the hour.

Write access lets an assistant edit, archive, and delete photos and albums. Assistants can misread a request, so grant it only to apps you trust, and remember that deleting a photo cannot be undone.
